2025 Strategic Plan

Our primary objective is to establish a robust mentoring program tailored for young individuals aged 11 to 18, with the hope of positively influencing over 500 youths each year. In pursuit of providing substantial support for our initiatives, we aim to raise $150,000 between August 2024 and August 2025. Recognizing the importance of holistic well-being, we are dedicated to enhancing health and wellness, including mental health services, for youths and families in Newton and Rockdale Counties. Moreover, we aspire to become the leading entity in both referring and training teenagers for employment and college readiness within these counties, setting a strong precedent for community engagement and support.


Program, Education, & Mentoring Committee

Educational Excellence and Community Engagement Initiatives

This committee is responsible for organizing and executing educational initiatives and community engagement activities that align with the needs and goals of our members. It focuses on fostering academic achievement, personal development, and civic involvement through various programs designed to empower and uplift our community.

    • 11 to 12 year-old: Intramural sports with mentoring

    • 11 to 12 year-old: Weekday Academy

    • Middle School After School Program

    • 13 -18-year-old: Saturday Academy for skills, job training, and college preparation


Health & Wellness Committee

Strengthening Community Wellness in Newton and Rockdale Counties

This committee is dedicated to improving access to health and wellness resources, including mental health support, for youth and families in Newton and Rockdale Counties. Through education, advocacy, and community-based programs, the committee strives to promote healthier lifestyles and ensure that essential health services are accessible to those in need.

    • Organize workshops and seminars to educate youth and families on healthy living, nutrition, physical fitness, and mental health awareness.

    • Partner with local healthcare providers to offer free or low-cost health screenings, wellness checkups, and mental health support services in Newton and Rockdale Counties.

    • Launch initiatives to reduce the stigma around mental health and increase access to counseling and support resources for youth and families.

    • Create community programs and events that encourage physical activity, such as fitness challenges, walking groups, or sports activities, to improve overall wellness in the community.


Special Events & Fundraising Committee

Igniting Community Spirit and Development through Vibrant Events & Fundraisers

This committee is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing events that foster camaraderie and strengthen the spirit of unity within the organization. In addition, it seeks out and coordinates fundraising initiatives that align with the organization's mission, presenting opportunities for members to support the chapter's goals and community-focused efforts. Through its work, the committee enhances both the social and financial well-being of the organization.

  • Host three signature fundraising events annually with a goal of raising $150,000 to support program development and expansion in Newton and Rockdale Counties:

    • Black & White 100 Black Men of New Rock Gala

    • Summer 5K & Picnic

    • Concert Event
